Globetrotter IMBA Megan Kates and Her Two Best Years Ever
Schulich IMBA advances grad’s global career
“Schulich is a great school where I had the best two years of my life,” says Megan Kates, a 2015 graduate of the Schulich International MBA. “I made lifelong friends and had an amazing experience.”
When Kates started applying to MBA programs she was looking for top tier schools in great cities. As a U.S. citizen, she discovered the Schulich IMBA program was the perfect fit due to the international focus of the program. Kates studied in France for a semester as part of an International Academic Exchange and her International Work Term as a first generation MBA with Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABInBev) in Mexico City lead to a full-time job before she even graduated.
“ABInBev is a company like none I’ve come across before. They take their time in selecting talent and put you through quite a rigorous experience to get in, but once in it has everything available to you,” says Kates. “At ABI people grow at the pace of their talent. There are so many opportunities, both geographically and functionally.”
Currently Kates is a Brand Manager for Stella Artois in Mexico and continues to love working for ABInBev. She hopes her career continues to grow with the company.
