Seven 2024 Vector Scholars Attending Schulich
Seven Schulich graduate students have been announced as recipients of the 2024-25 Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence (VSAI). These $17,500 merit-based scholarships are awarded to top candidates enrolled in Vector-recognized master’s programs or pursuing individualized AI study paths at universities across Ontario.
This year’s recipients include students from Schulich’s Master of Business Analytics (MBAN) program and Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) program: Dishita Pranaykumar Neve, MBAN Candidate ’25; Mansi Patel, MBAN Candidate ’25; Akriti Saklani, MBAN Candidate ’25; Jiayi Wu, MBAN Candidate ’25; Cheng Luo, MMAI Candidate ’25; Georgette Otoo, MMAI Candidate ’25; and Christine Tang, MMAI Candidate ’25.
“Receiving the Vector Scholarship is a testament to the incredible support I’ve received from my mentors and peers,” said Patel. “It’s a privilege to represent such a prestigious institution and contribute to the fields of data science and AI, both within and outside the university community.”
Beyond financial support, VSAI recipients and students enrolled in master’s programs recognized by the Vector Institute can attend events and talks that put them face-to-face with top AI researchers and teams from top Canadian employers, providing unique career opportunities. The master’s students are also given access to Vector’s Digital Talent Hub, networking events, and AI-specific professional development programming to ensure they are ready to join the workforce.
“The scholarship represents an opportunity not only to connect with other professionals and experts in the Vector Community, but also a reminder to persevere and to never stop being curious and learning,” said Tang.
