BBA Supplementary Application

Important Information Regarding the Supplementary Application and York University Winter Holiday Closure

Please note that York University and the Schulich Recruitment & Admissions office will be closed from December 24, 2026, to January 1, 2027 (inclusive). Applications will not be processed from December 23, 2026, to January 4, 2027.

If you applied to the BBA program between December 21 and January 11 there will be a delay in receiving your invitation to the Supplementary Application. Invitations to the Supplementary Application will be sent after January 11.

If it is AFTER January 11 and you have not received the Supplementary Application invite, please confirm that you applied to the BBA program (OUAC Code: YBA) and check your spam/junk folders for an email from no-reply@kiratalent.com. If you do not find your invitation and applied to the BBA program, please email admissions@schulich.yorku.ca with York Student ID Number and we will resend you the invitation.

While you are waiting for your invitation, you will be able to begin working on your Leadership Profile.

The Supplementary Application Deadlines:

• Direct-Entry Ontario (101) and Non-Ontario (105) High School Applicants (Year 1): February 1, 2027 at 11:59 pm EST
• Direct-Entry International Students Outside of Ontario (105V) High School Applications (Year 1): February 1, 2027 at 11:59 pm EST
• *NEW* Early Consideration Supplementary Application Deadline for ALL group (Year 1): November 23, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST

Students who complete the supplementary application by November 23 will be prioritized for earlier holistic review. Applications submitted after this date will still be considered but may be reviewed later in the admissions cycle due to the volume and timing of the review process. Admission decisions will only be made once sufficient grade information is available

Please ensure you apply by the Schulich BBA OUAC deadline:

Students who wish to be considered in the first review group should submit their OUAC application by this date. This will provide sufficient time to receive access to and complete the mandatory supplementary application by the November 23 early consideration deadline.

Within 7-10 business days of submitting your Schulich application via OUAC, you will receive an email message from York containing your York Student ID number. This email will be sent to you from the address: info@yorku.ca

You will need to enter the York Student ID Number included in this email message when registering to complete your Supplementary Application.

No, the Supplementary Application is not accessed from or uploaded to the MyFile account. Within 7-10 days of applying to the Schulich BBA via OUAC you will receive an invitation to complete the Supplementary Application. Please follow the links in that e-mail which will provide detailed instructions.

Included within the email invitation to complete the Supplementary Application is a link to download the Leadership Profile template. If you are having issues downloading the template directly from the email, try one of the following:

• Open the email in a non-Chrome browser (i.e. Firefox, Microsoft Edge, etc.) and download from there; or
• Copy the hyperlink within the email invitation into a new browser tab to initiate the download.

After you have filled in the document, we recommend that you resave the file with a unique name (i.e. Leadership-Profile-Fall-2025-FINAL_John Doe.docx). Please also verify that your responses display correctly before uploading your completed Leadership Profile to Kira Talent.

No, you must upload your completed Leadership Profile before moving on to complete the video interviews and timed writing exercise. If you upload an incomplete Leadership Profile document as a placeholder – with the intention of returning to revise it after completing your video interviews and timed writing exercise – you will not be able to do so.

Starting with the Fall 2027 admission cycle, applicants to the Schulich BBA program will be required to pay a $50 Supplementary Application fee.

No. The Supplementary Application fee is non-refundable once the application has been submitted.

Your Supplementary Application should be marked as “Received” on My File within 7-10 days of submission. Please note, however, that no updates will be made to MyFile over the York University holiday break (approx. December 24, 2026 – January 4, 2027, inclusive). If you submit your Supplementary Application during the break, you should not expect to see an update to your MyFile account until after January 11th.

You should highlight meaningful experiences from high school that demonstrate initiative, collaboration, impact, and personal growth. Examples include:

• Student leadership, clubs, or councils
• Community involvement and volunteer work
• Sports or competitions
• Paid employment or entrepreneurial ventures
• Conferences, leadership programs, or international experiences
• Personal projects or experiences showing resilience or overcoming adversity

You must list a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 experiences. Leadership Profiles with fewer than 3 experiences will not be evaluated.

For each experience, you must provide:

• Experience name
• Your role/position
• Organization, school or group
• Reference

Yes. You must provide a reference who can verify your experience. Leadership Profiles with missing or incomplete references will not be evaluated.

• Complete all sections clearly and accurately.
• Triple-check before uploading to Kira Talent to ensure all information and references are correct and you are uploading the correct file.
