As you have often said, "one should retire into something not from something" and you have had a million good reasons to retire into; all those things you have put aside to take on the enormous challenge that has been Schulich.

Your family, travels, books, special time with friends; and indeed, you deserve all those pleasures and indulgences, for you have given all of us at Schulich thirty years of immense support, extraordinary professionalism, solid levelheadedness, exceptional backing and reassurance against the vagaries of the few and the conflicting perspectives of the many.

You have been a rock in the midst of our turbulent waters, and you deserve a peaceful, enjoyable, rich in experiences, long and happy retirement.
