Account Supervisor Alan Middleton warmly greeted 'young' Ian at a small advertising agency - Norman, Craig and Kummel - some 45 years ago. As a neophyte to the ad biz, Alan helped, supported and mentored me....as he has whenever I've reached out for guidance or advice ever since. Alan's generous spirit has always been one of his many attributes! While we have never worked together since those early days we've solved many business, political and societal issues during our regular poker games (which is the one time his generous spirit is absent!) during at which his crafty poker playing has lifted more than a few pennies from my wallet!
