Alan, it’s hard to imagine Schulich without you. Students (SEEC and MBA) often talk about how much they enjoy your classes, admire your depth of knowledge on many, wide-ranging topics and the way your interesting insights have the ability to be both through-provoking and provoking (which is wonderful in and of itself). As for your 601s, they are legendary.
Alan, there is no question that you will be missed as a leader, colleague and instructor. On a personal note, I will miss your booming, “How are you, kid?” I will miss your hugs and the way your smile lights up your face and the room around you. I will miss hearing your thoughts on multiple subjects. I will miss you.
Although we will all miss you, I know that you still have many, many adventures ahead of you – and probably itching for international tourism to allow countries to open their doors to you once again.
Wish you nothing but good moving forward.
Big hugs, Jane-Michèle
