Three MMAI Students Win Prestigious $17,500 Vector Scholarships
Three Schulich Masters students have landed the Vector Scholarships in Artificial Intelligence (VSAI), valued at $17,500. The Vector Institute supports Ontario’s growing AI community through a combination of activities, such as talent placement via internships, networking and AI community-building, and applied AI education.
Schulich’s Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) is recognized by the Vector Institute for delivering a curriculum that equips graduates with the skills and competencies sought by employers of AI talent.
These scholarships strive to attract the best global talent focused on research excellence in deep learning and machine learning. This year’s recipients of the VSAI are Amar Hassani (MMAI ’21), Brigid Sterling (MMAI ’21), and Ricardo Luhm (MMAI ’21).
“I was motivated to pursue graduate studies at Schulich because the MMAI program aligns with my future goals,” said Brigid. “The technical foundation of the program, coupled with courses exploring the ethical landscape of AI and change management, will prepare me for an industry experiencing evolution at an unprecedented rate.”
As the Vector Institute continues to position Ontario as the leader in AI innovation, the Vector Digital Talent Hub has been designed to connect affiliates with compelling internship and full-time career opportunities. “After three years in software development, I decided to invest in the AI-based solutions, because I could see the contributions and impact they will have in our lives,” said Ricardo.
Congratulations Amar, Brigid, and Ricardo! We wish you all success with your studies and future careers.
