Team Schulich Wins 2022 CFA Ethics Challenge

Congratulations to Team Schulich for being selected the winning team of 2022 CFA Toronto Ethics Challenge Competition. The team members consisted of five Master of Finance 2022 candidates; Juhi Maru, Rishika Bhatia, Anbochao Wang, Yusuf Jiruwala and Kaustubh Sharma.
The CFA Societies Canada Ethics Challenge is designed to increase students’ awareness of the ethical dilemmas and issues they may face when they enter the investment management industry. Each team researches and prepares a written report on a Subject Company designated by the local host.
Upholding a strong understanding of the CFA Codes and Standards and presenting them strategically were Schulich’s key ingredients to winning the competition. Moreover, confident and spontaneous responses to the judges helped them stand out effectively.
“Our presentation stood out among other business schools because we presented a complete picture by touching upon various consequences of the violation through the perspective of the stakeholders,” said Yusuf.
The team’s faculty advisor for this case competition was Professor Gregory Pau who provided critical feedback and guidance to improve presentation skills.
“The school fosters a unique environment where everyone helps each other, be it the faculty members or alumni who put every effort to support the cohort,” said Kaustubh Sharma.
