Team Schulich Scores Top Prize in the Ivey Cup Hockey Tournament
Congratulations to Team Schulich on their championship win in the 2019 Ivey Cup Hockey Tournament, an annual invitational business school tournament that takes place in London, Ontario.
Teams participate representing business schools across Canada each year, and compete in a two-day tournament for the top prize, Lord Ivey’s Cup. The tournament is a great opportunity to compete on the ice with current students and alumni from Canada’s top business school programs.
The Schulich Team was able to go undefeated in the three-game round robin and semi-finals, beating three Ivey teams (Western), and the Smith School of Business team (Queens). The finals finished with a 7-2 victory over Ivey’s ’16 team to take home the top prize.
The team, made up of a mix of mostly MMgt, MBA/JD, and BBA students worked hard playing four games on Saturday alone. The team represented Schulich in the best way possible, showing great class, perseverance, and sportsmanship in their victory. Thank you to Western and the Ivey Business School for hosting the team and for organizing an incredible event.
Be sure to congratulate your classmates and friends on this Schulich win! If you are a hockey player at Schulich look out for next year’s team try-outs. Let’s continue this excellent tradition!
