Strategic Preparation, Successful Outcome: Amarpreet Neele’s Journey to Supply Ontario
Amarpreet Neele (MBA ‘26), has secured a full-time role as a Procurement Analyst at Supply Ontario, a milestone that reflects both persistence and strategic preparation.
After discovering the opportunity on LinkedIn, Neele took the initiative to apply independently, submitting a tailored resume. The recruitment process was rigorous: it began with a questionnaire, followed by a computer-based assessment, and ultimately led to an interview that included a presentation assignment. At the interview phase, Neele leaned into the support available through the Centre for Career Design (CCD).
With only a weekend to complete the presentation assignment and one week to prepare for the interview, Neele moved quickly. On Monday, he connected with Dali Cela, Career Design Advisor, for a dedicated interview preparation session. Together, they broke down potential questions, discussed structured frameworks for answering behavioral and technical prompts, and analyzed the job posting in detail to align his experiences with the role’s core competencies.
“It was really nice to get help from CCD. Dali was really helpful in answering questions and knowledgeable about interview prep. She guided me through the process, making sure I analyze each aspect of the job posting and understand the importance of knowing the position and being able to relate it to my experience through the frameworks.”
Later that week, Neele booked a mock interview session to complete a full dry run. Practicing under realistic conditions helped refine his delivery, strengthen his examples, and build confidence ahead of the final interview. “Completing mock interview prep with CCD helped me excel in my interview and led me to become a successful candidate,” he shared.
For Neele, the journey reflects the value of combining independent initiative with targeted career support. By taking ownership of his application process and leveraging CCD’s interview preparation resources at a critical stage, he successfully translated preparation into performance.
