State-of-the-art Technology Installed in Schulich Classrooms
Autumn means back to class for many, and this year Schulich students returned to updated classrooms.
One of Schulich’s goals is to be a leader in the adoption and deployment of advanced technologies to elevate the teaching and learning experience. Recently 11 classrooms were renovated with state-of-the-art technology.
“At Schulich, we are committed to leading the way in leveraging advanced technologies to enhance the teaching and learning experience,” said Detlev Zwick, Dean of the Schulich School of Business. “Our recent renovations have transformed 11 classrooms into state-of-the-art spaces, equipped with the latest instructional technology and audio-visual capabilities. These upgrades are a testament to our strategic vision of delivering a world-class learning environment where innovation and excellence thrive.”
The 11 classrooms highlighted are: S123, S125, S127, S129, W132, W256, W256, W356, W357, W253 and W255.
This incredible milestone would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of so many including Kevin Tasa, Associate Dean, Academic; Christina Niederwanger, Executive Director, Advancement and Alumni Engagement; Jillian Yeung Do, Executive Officer; Brenn Kha, Director, Information Services & Technology; Jeff Pinto, Associate Director, Information & Learning Technology; and Vlad Ivankine, Manager, Customer Success, Information Services & Technology. This team worked together to generate funding totaling over $650,000 through donor support, government grants, the Provost’s Office at York University, and our very own Centre for Customer Centricity.
“We’re always excited to bring state-of-the-art instructional technology to our classrooms,” said Khan. “The completion of these recent projects affirms the School’s commitment and leadership in putting the teaching & learning experience first for our students and instructors. This marks a significant milestone where all of the School’s classrooms are now equipped with modern, best-in-class technology. It was made possible through a number of business and technology partnerships, and the incredible dedication of the IST team.”
