Schulich’s Fall 2025 Recruitment Fairs Break Records and Build Momentum
The Schulich School of Business achieved a new milestone this fall as the Centre for Career Design (CCD) hosted a record-breaking series of Fall 2025 Recruitment Fairs, drawing top employers and ambitious students together for eight dynamic on-campus events.
With 90 corporate booths across eight recruitment events — including organizations returning for multiple fairs — a 67% increase over last year, and more than 1,300 student and recent graduate attendees, the fairs underscored Schulich’s reputation as a premier destination for employer engagement and career readiness.
“The Fall 2025 Recruitment Fairs reflected the incredible momentum we’re seeing across the school right now,” said Miles Collyer, Associate Director, Corporate Relations, CCD. “Schulich students continue to demonstrate the qualities and readiness that employers are seeking, while industry partners have shown their eagerness for direct, meaningful time with new talent.”
The fairs featured leading employers across sectors, including Google, IBM, Amazon, Recipe Unlimited, Fidelity Investments, Panasonic, and Saputo. Many organizations participated in multiple fairs and follow-up events, demonstrating deepened engagement with Schulich’s talent network.
For Nestlé Canada, the experience underscored the value of partnership and preparation.
“Nestlé Canada greatly valued the opportunity to participate in the recent CPG + Marketing Career Fair,” said Kayla Matias, Early Talent Specialist. “The CCD team ensured a seamless experience for our recruiters and created an environment where meaningful conversations could take place. We were very impressed with the caliber of students we met throughout the day – their professionalism, preparation, and genuine curiosity about opportunities at Nestlé were outstanding. Overall, the fair was a well-organized and impactful experience that further deepened our connection to the Schulich community.”
IBM echoed the sentiment, highlighting the school’s ability to connect companies with skilled, curious, and career-ready candidates.
“It was a pleasure to participate in the Schulich Fall 2025 Tech Career Fair and connect with such a dynamic and driven group of students,” said Yesha Shah, Manager, Content Design, IBM Core Software. “Events like these reaffirm our commitment to building strong partnerships with academic institutions and investing in the next generation of innovators in technology.”
Google Canada shared a similar perspective on student engagement.
“As a Schulich alumnus, it was rewarding to represent Google Cloud at the Technology Recruitment Fair,” said Connie Quach, Customer Learning Lead, Google Cloud Canada. “Students were enthusiastic, well-prepared, and asked thoughtful questions about cloud technologies and AI that led to engaging conversations.”
Students also described the fairs as pivotal experiences that helped shape their career paths.
Francesca Grande (MMGT ’25) reflected on how attending the CPG & Marketing Fair helped her navigate the transition from student to professional life.
“At a time when transitioning from student life to the professional world felt uncertain, the CPG & Marketing fair helped make that new step feel more approachable,” said Grande. “I had the opportunity to meet employers, mentors, and fellow alumni; all who offered valuable insight and many of whom I remain in touch with today. I’m genuinely thankful for the experience and connections made by attending the fair, that helped bridge the transition from student life to the ‘real-world’ with a purposeful boost of confidence.”
Leon Lo, a current Tech MBA student, shared how the fairs encouraged genuine dialogue with recruiters.
“Attending the Recruitment Fair gave me the chance to speak directly with recruiters I might not have met otherwise,” Lo said. “The conversations felt natural and often led to meaningful follow-ups. Many of the employers were open, supportive, and genuinely interested in helping students find roles that fit. Those conversations helped me better understand where my background aligned and what companies were really looking for. I’ve found that leading with curiosity and genuine interest makes every interaction feel more authentic.”
The success and impact of Schulich’s Fall 2025 Recruitment Fair series has reinforced the CCD’s role as a bridge between business education and professional success.
“Large-scale recruitment events like these truly make a difference — they don’t just open doors to jobs, they help students look within to see where their strengths and ambitions align with real-world opportunities,” said Collyer.
