Schulich Ranked Among World’s Top 50 MBA Programs for Entrepreneurs
TORONTO, ON – Wednesday, September 2, 2026 – The Schulich School of Business at York University has once again been ranked among the world’s top 50 MBA programs for entrepreneurs, placing 41st globally in PitchBook’s 2026 University Rankings.
Released yesterday by PitchBook, the leading global source for startup and venture capital data, the ranking recognizes the world’s most successful universities and business schools when it comes to producing venture capital-backed founders.
Schulich earned its place among the world’s Top 50 MBA programs for the second straight year based on 122 alumni founders representing 118 companies that have collectively raised an impressive US$1.3 billion in venture capital funding. The number of venture-backed founders and the funding raised by their companies are key factors in PitchBook’s methodology. Schulich placed 41st overall, while Harvard ranked 1st, followed by Stanford and Wharton. Among business schools at public universities, Schulich ranked in the top 20 in the world.
In addition, York University and the Schulich School of Business also made PitchBook’s Undergraduate category for the second straight year, moving up two spots to rank 98th globally, with Schulich alumni founders contributing significantly to the result.

PitchBook’s annual university rankings tally the number of alumni entrepreneurs who have raised venture capital over the past decade. The 2026 PitchBook University Rankings are based on the educational backgrounds of more than 220,000 founders worldwide whose companies received venture funding between January 1, 2015, and August 1, 2026.
