Schulich Adjunct Professor, Trina McQueen Receives Special Jury Award of Distinction

Trina McQueen, O.C., Adjunct Professor in the MBA Program in Arts & Media Administration at the Schulich School of Business, will be awarded the Special Jury Award of Distinction at the 2014 Women in Film and Television Crystal Awards Gala Luncheon on December 2nd. The special award is being presented in recognition of McQueen’s enormous contribution to the “health, prosperity and freedom of the Canadian media industry and Canadian artists.” Broadcast journalist turned media executive; Trina has served as the head of CBC News, President of CTV and was the founding President of the Discovery Channel in Canada.
As Schulich’s first CTV Professor in Broadcast Management, she worked with WIFT-T to develop the WIFT Media Leadership Program, a partnership program between the Schulich School of Business and WIFT. The biennial program provides screen-based executives and entrepreneurs with media industry management skills in leadership, strategic planning, change management, financial literacy, marketing and entrepreneurship.
