Preparation Meets Opportunity: How Keye Ewebiyi Landed a Full-Time Role at TD Bank
For Keye Ewebiyi (MBA ‘25), landing a Treasury Associate role at TD Bank was more than a milestone—it was a product of intentional preparation, continuous learning, and support from the Centre for Career Design (CCD).
Ewebiyi first discovered the job posting for TD Bank on Handshake. Recognizing its alignment with his interests and goals, he attended an information session organized by the employer, which helped him gain valuable insights into the company’s values, culture, and expectations.
That session set the tone for a focused and informed application process.
Once Ewebiyi was invited to an interview, he turned to the CCD to refine his approach and boost his confidence. He scheduled a session with a career design advisor, who provided tailored interview tips and guidance that helped him feel more prepared.
He also participated in mock interview sessions, which proved invaluable. These sessions allowed him to practice answering a variety of questions, polish his delivery, and refine how he communicated his fit for the role. “Even though I’ve done several interviews independently, I embraced the mindset that there’s always something new to learn—and sometimes, things to unlearn or relearn.”
That mindset of continuous growth paid off. Through meaningful conversations and targeted feedback, Ewebiyi not only improved his interview performance, but also deepened his understanding of the role and the organization’s mission.
Ewebiyi credits much of his success to the personalized support he received from the CCD: “I appreciate that CCD Advisors are deeply invested in the success of students, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we’re fully prepared to land our dream jobs!”
His story is a reminder that every interview is a chance to learn, refine, and grow—and that preparation, paired with the right support, can turn opportunity into success.
