Outstanding Instructors Honoured at Graduate Business Council Gala
The ten top-rated graduate program instructors at Schulich received the Seymour Schulich Teaching Excellence Award at the Graduate Business Council Gala this month. The student-driven award is adjudicated based on Seymour Schulich’s vision for teaching excellence, which includes knowledge, enthusiasm, exceptional communication, and teaching innovation. This year’s diverse cohort taught courses in Accounting, Strategic Management, Marketing, and Sustainability.
“On behalf of the entire Schulich community, I would like to salute all of the instructors who were nominated for this year’s Teaching Excellence Awards,” said Schulich Dean Detlev Zwick. “The awards are among the most prestigious at our School and this year’s nominees were selected by our students for the way their teaching inspired and motivated and for the passion and dedication they demonstrated in the classroom.”
Professor Ashley Konson won first prize and Professor Alla Volodina placed second. They received $15,000 and $10,000 respectively. Recipients will also be celebrated during Spring Convocation and showcased in the Seymour Schulich Teaching Excellence Awards Hall of Fame in the Schulich building.
