Creating Impact at Schulich’s GBC Insights Conference
The Graduate Business Council (GBC) at the Schulich School of Business hosted its 16th annual Insights Career Conference this past week. The Career Conference provides MBA and Masters students the opportunity to engage in career-related discussions with industry leaders and Schulich alumni.
This year’s conference “Creating Impact in a Dynamic Environment” was designed to equip students with the skills they need to make a difference in today’s evolving work landscape. The GBC organized six panel discussions for the conference, each focusing on a different business career or industry. The discussions covered Marketing & Sales, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Technology, Consulting, and Healthcare.
“The best thing about the Insights Conference is that it brings together people with diverse backgrounds and expertise,” said GBC Student Affairs Director Darwin Zhou Chan (MBA ’23).
The panel discussions included a 45-minute Q&A session moderated by a Schulich Faculty member, a 30-minute audience question period, and a networking session featuring the panelists, faculty, and staff from Schulich’s Centre for Career Design.
“We are delighted to see professionals from various industries come together to build new connections, share insights and ideas, and explore potential collaborations at the Insights Conference. This event has created a fertile ground for networking that can lead to long-lasting relationships and new opportunities for attendees,” said Nilay Bahalkar, GBC Director of Corporate Relations (MBA ’23).
