Markus Giesler is a consumer experience design theorist and York University’s youngest tenured marketing professor. He has been recognized as one of Fortune’s young business-school star professors on the rise, Wired’s best recognized experts studying high-technology consumption, and the world’s top 40 business professors under 40. His research has been published in top-tier academic journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Marketing, and profiled by, among others, the New York Times, Time, Financial Times, Fast Company, and Marketing Magazine. His customer experience design column appears at the Huffington Post. He has also been recognized as York University’s most publicly profiled professor and one of Germany’s 30 thought leaders under 30. He founded a record label at age 17, which he managed until 2005.
