About Gordon S. Roberts
My research explores syndicated bank loans, a fast growing, major form of corporate financing. The work encompasses two areas: syndicate structure and loan pricing. In the first area, the research examines syndicate size and the relationship between the lead banks that set up the syndicate and participant banks that supply funding. The second area explores the pricing impact of traditional features of fixed income securities such as maturity and collateral. It also examines how corporate governance and corporate social responsibility of borrowers impacts the prices they pay for bank loans.
