About Andre Kuzmicki
Andre has been teaching real estate finance and investment at the Schulich School of Business since 1998 and has co-directed the Program in Real Estate and Infrastructure since 2000. Recently he was appointed as the program director for Schulich’s new Master of Real Estate and Infrastructure, which will launch in January 2017. For five years Andre also lectured in the MSRED program at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Columbia University.
His career in real estate spans nearly four decades and encompasses all aspects of real estate investment and management including development, acquisition, asset management and portfolio management. Prior to launching his teaching career, he managed the real estate investment portfolio for the Canadian arm of the Prudential Insurance Company of America.
Andre currently serves on the boards of Chartwell Retirement Residences (TSX – CSH.UN) and Dorsay Development Corporation and is a member of the advisory board of ASSESS + RE, a New York-based real estate tech start-up. He has served previously on the boards of Dream Unlimited Corp, RealNet Canada Inc., the Bentall Group, Artis REIT, Apex Corporation and Bentall Corporation.
He is a past president of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP), Greater Toronto Chapter and is a founding father of its prestigious annual REX Awards and Gala. He is a NAIOP Distinguished Fellow and a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Pension Real Estate Association. Andre is a past winner of the Seymour Schulich Teaching Excellence Award. He holds a BA and an MBA from McGill University.
